On 20 April I had the pleasure to welcome a group of Hungarian business leaders accompanied by representatives from our local business community, including the directors from the St Albans Chamber of Commerce.
We were also very excited to have the Right Worshipful the Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Frances Leonard chairing the event, who spoke about the collaboration between BRE, the Green Triangle, Rothamsted Research, and the University of Hertfordshire supported by the St Albans City and District Council that helps to establish Hertfordshire as a globally renowned centre of excellence in green technology.
The visitors included specialists from manufacturing, ICT, fire protection, healthcare, machinery, environment and banking, as well as International Director for Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Aron Littvay-Kovács and Peter Keszthelyi, the Chairman of the British Hungarian Division at BCCI.
This has been a great opportunity to forge international links for cooperation and business and take pride in our world leading multi-disciplinary building science centre, building a better world together.
The Hungarians were especially impressed with the Watford Innovation Park and its many layers of demonstration, evaluation and product innovation.
