In October 2014 Aaron Glazebrook joined the BRE’s apprenticeship scheme. This week he has become the first on our scheme to complete the Administration Apprenticeship and he has achieved this four months early. He completed his apprenticeship whilst working in the BRE Academy e-learning team. We caught up with him to find out how he has found it.
Aaron, why did you choose the BRE Apprenticeship?
I was interested in sustainability and the built environment and wanted to contribute to the growth of the BRE Academy.
What have you enjoyed most about the apprenticeship?
The variety of skills that I have learnt that will be beneficial for the future. I feel like it has made me push myself a bit more into things I would not have otherwise done.
What is the one key thing you have learnt?
I have got a much better idea about how a business is run and how it operates.
Would you recommend the apprenticeship to others?
It carries many more benefits that I first imagined as well as additional experiences and skills, so yes.
What do you think the future holds?
Not too sure but I hope I get the chance to continue developing myself and contributing towards the development of the BRE Academy.
Pauline Traetto, Director of the BRE Academy said ‘Apprenticeship programmes are an excellent way for individuals to develop new skills and give the opportunity to have a progressive career. For employers, apprenticeship programmes help identify new talent, and the ability to help foster team working. Aaron has been an exemplar of this, not only is he our first Apprenticeship with the BRE Academy to have completed his qualification but he did so 4 months early! I am very proud of Aaron, he has developed and grown his skills and knowledge and been an outstanding member of our team who has never failed to deliver. I am delighted that Aaron has achieved his qualification and we look forward to seeing what he will deliver for us next!’
Tara Bishop, Apprencticeship and Graduate Scheme manager said ‘Aaron has done an amazing job, well done’
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Aaron on this achieve and wish him all the best for the future. If you would like to find out more about our apprenticeship scheme you can do so here
