University of Edinburgh Nursery obtains BREEAM Excellent and lends itself to being an educational tool

The development is a new build primary school to replace the school facilities on the site of the existing Primary School in the village of Brandon in County Durham.
The building will connect to the King’s Cross Central low carbon district heating network, distributed from a combined heat and power energy centre.
This new mental healthcare facility is being procured using the NEC form of contract as part of the NHS Framework for the client NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
The first new building that LSE has commissioned in more than 40 years, the Centre was constructed on the site of the old St Philips building on Sheffield Street, next to the Peacock Theatre in central London.
Part-funded by a generous donation from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the building is a hub that will catalyse new collaborations with industry. It is the latest landmark development to be undertaken by the University of Nottingham on its Jubilee Campus, and is unique in the UK not only in its design but also in its focus on world-leading research activity in sustainable chemistry.
The challenge was to obtain the highest scored BREEAM certified building in Romania and to demonstrate that significant reducing environmental impacts is possible. The BREEAM certification scheme helped the project team to manage the environmental impact with a balanced, multi-disciplinary approach.
IKEA Hubhult was designed as a global meeting place for all of IKEA’s operations and was designed based on IKEA’s design philosophy when creating home furnishings. The four-storey building is set up to promote an activity-based approach for working and encourage interactions, with 80 meeting rooms and numerous quiet, creative, and open spaces.
Otopeni is the 250th store for PENNY Romania which marks the start of a new approach, focused more on people, digitization and sustainable development. PENNY Otopeni was designed to be a store where environmental and social solutions are brought together.
IKEA Greenwich is the highest scoring BREEAM building Envision has been involved with. The achievement is thanks to the vision of the client and the determination and commitment by the contractor and design team.
