Hertfordshire Ride to Work Week is here!

Note: This press release is over six months old and the details may have been superseded. Please contact the Press Office for the latest information.

Ride to Work Week, an initiative by Love to Ride Hertfordshire which is sponsored by BRE, is a fun, free competition that aims to encourage more people in the county to try riding to work and experience the associated joys and benefits of open air exercise.

Every trip to work a participant takes earns them an entry into a draw for some amazing prizes and there are also prize incentives for those organisations who encourage the most people to give it a go.

BRE’s Head of BRE’s Sustainability Stuart Blofeld said ‘We know that people who ride to work are generally healthier because their fitness improves and happier because of the feel good endorphins they create through exercising. They are also wealthier because they are not spending money on their commute and they are contributing to a cleaner more sustainable environment.’

Ride to work week takes place between Monday 7 and Sunday 13 September. For more information on how to get involved see www.lovetoride.net/hertfordshire
