LPCB debuts Live Testing Lab at The Security Event 2024

The internationally renowned Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is set to unveil its groundbreaking Live Testing Lab at The Security Event, taking place from April 30 to May 2, 2024, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The LPCB Live Testing Lab will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to witness a team of professional forced entry specialists engaging with a diverse range of physical security products. From windows to fencing and doorsets, the live demonstrations will showcase the resilience and effectiveness of these products in the face of simulated intrusion scenarios.

In addition to the Live Testing Lab, LPCB has collaborated with industry partners to present the latest advancements in physical perimeter protection. Visitors can explore cutting-edge solutions, including bollards, barriers, gates, fencing, locks and much more.

As a globally recognised third-party certification body for fire safety and security products and services, LPCB boasts a storied history dating back to the 1880s. LPCB certification, delivered by BRE (Building Research Establishment), the UK’s leading independent test and certification authority for security, fire, and the built environment, is synonymous with excellence. The certification process involves rigorous testing, evaluation, and quality audit procedures to ensure that approved products deliver proven levels of protection.

We are thrilled to introduce the LPCB Live Testing Lab, where we can share our unparalleled knowledge and experience with delegates. This Zone provides a distinctive opportunity for individuals interested in forced entry protection to witness live attack tests, gaining firsthand insight into the differences between certified and uncertified products. The backing from both esteemed manufacturers exhibiting in the Live Testing Lab and The Security Event team is crucial in making this experience possible.

Richard Flint, BRE’s Technical and Commercial Lead for Physical Security

Major global-leading manufacturers of physical and perimeter security products and solutions have already confirmed their participation at the almost sold-out event next April.

Tristan Norman, Group Event Director of The Security Event, adds, “The Security Event is extremely proud to welcome LPCB and their Live Testing Lab to the show this year. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to showcase the complete security spectrum filling the halls with innovative security solutions and technologies that are evolving to meet the security landscape of the future. With a large number of exhibitors collaborating with LPCB, this alliance seamlessly aligns with the essence of our show in demonstrating ‘best practice’ and also the exceptional durability and strength of some of the physical security products on the market today.”
