Housing Stock Condition Database (HSCD)
Supporting local authorities in understanding and monitoring their housing stock
HSCD complements BRE’s Excess Cold Calculator (XCC) and Housing Health Cost Calculator (HHCC) tools to allow local authorities to target improvements in housing conditions, energy efficiency and public health standards, as well as query and update their housing data.
The online database has multiple benefits to local authorities, including:
- New HSCD map features allowing quick analysis, interpretation and identification of housing stock trends at various geographic levels
- Live maps to assist data improvement and enable the user to easily query local data
- Enabling local authorities to continually monitor their housing stock
- Filtering housing data to identify specific dwelling categories
- Generate and export property lists and summary tables of interest over different geographical scales
- Compliments XCC and HHCC
- Generates improvement scenarios to assess potential reductions in energy use and carbon emissions
HSCD is available online on a demo or subscription basis.
